How Does Lip Augmentation Procedure Work?

The procedure takes 45-60 minutes. The lip filler contains lidocaine, which reduces the discomfort associated with the injection. Additionally, a local anesthetic cream is applied to the area of ​​the mouth. 

Then the nurse, using a thin needle or cannula, precisely injects the product in the form of a gel into the area of ​​the labial red. Finally, she performs a massage in order to evenly distribute the filler and smooth out any unevenness. Immediately after the lip filling procedure, swelling, redness or small bruises may occur at the injection site (you can apply Arnica cream to speed up the healing process). However, these changes are mild and usually disappear within 3-7 days. Immediately after the procedure, it is recommended to slightly cool the area around the lips, keep the treated areas hygienic and refrain from touching them. For 24 hours after the treatment, excessive exposure to the sun, use of the sauna and sun beds, exercise and consumption of hot food,drinks and alcohol is not recommended. It is also extremely important to drink a lot of water at this time - hydration of the body facilitates the binding of hyaluronic acid molecules.
